Review by Dale Ross

Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis And His Tenor Sax's album, "He's A Real Gone Guy Leapin' On Lenox," is a true masterpiece of jazz music. The album features some of the most talented musicians of the time, including Davis on the tenor sax, Shirley Scott on the organ, and Jerome Richardson on the flute.

The album's opening track, "Leapin' On Lenox," is a lively and upbeat tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Davis's tenor saxophone playing is masterful, and his improvisational skills are on full display throughout the album.

The album also includes some slower, more contemplative tracks, such as "I Can't Get Started" and "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." On these tracks, Davis's playing is more subdued, but no less impressive.
