OMG!!! I can't believe this. Whoever posted this: THANKS. My mom bought me this in the mid-70's when I was wee. I loved it. I've not heard it in YEARS!! Blast from the past!! Thanks for posting!!
LOL love it!
well thanks youtube, now my brain is permanently traumatized. f_uckinq youtube
Imagine all the time and effort it took to physically edit and assemble this recording. Along with David Seville's (Ross Bagdasarian, Senior) Chipmunks, the 50's were an era in which musicians and engineers collaborated to create uniquely comic records that would have been impossible only a few years earlier.
DON CHARLES AND HIS SINGING DOGS ...real dogs live on stage without autotune. so good
just fantastics,I was looking this song for a long time it remind me my happy time when I was a child. Thanks
The greatest song ever written ?
I live in the UK and used to have "Rock around the dogs" bw "Barking Dog Boogie" on 78, but it was broken in a house move. Fortunately I had backed it up on tape. Interesting that the same tunes have different titles here ("Barking Dog Boogie" is "Hot Dog Boogie" and "Rock around the dogs" is "Hot dog rock 'n' roll"). So perhaps the titles changed for UK release? I have a vague memory of seeing the Singing Dogs on a TV show. My mind could be playing tricks, but I am sure a guy had a line of dogs which individually barked when he pointed a stick at them. Thanks for posting! By the way, the Singing Dogs were at 16 in the UK charts this time in 1955 with "Oh Suzannah Medley"!
On a record, where a dog looks into a grammophone horn...
Wonderful to always listen this, rather than the nightmares from the living humans confusions in politics, territorial rivalry, languages etc.
Veggiemunn is your pooch still alive?? I hope so! Tell him to keep rocking out!!
Once again proving their versatility. Arf!
looks like the dog on the record is looking for the dogs in the record, and yes love this one
