Review by Mahmoud Alqabandi

Doc Watson's Toe Tappin Tunes is an album that is sure to get anyone's feet moving. The 12-track album showcases Watson's mastery of the guitar and banjo, and his distinct voice that is both soothing and lively.

The album features a mix of traditional folk songs and original compositions, all of which are performed with Watson's signature style. The instrumental tracks, such as "Black Mountain Rag" and "John Henry," showcase Watson's impressive fingerpicking skills, while the vocal tracks, such as "Sitting on Top of the World" and "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down," highlight his ability to tell a story through song.

One standout track on the album is "Deep River Blues," a song that Watson had previously recorded but re-recorded for Toe Tappin Tunes. The new version features a faster tempo and a more upbeat rhythm, adding a new dimension to the classic tune.
