My father donated his old stereo equipment to my sister and me for our playroom in the attic when I was around 10 years old. After my father tried installing it, it didn't seem to work with only one speaker connected (the plug of the second speaker was missing) and we were disappointed.
Later I tried it again, I put on this single and after pushing some buttons on the amplifier I suddenly got sound.
Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of that joyful moment.

Takes me back when I was a teenager in Manchester
This is either a poor cover or a poor re-mastering or both. The singer is also out of key compared to the original. I also understand stereo was not used on piccadilly singles before 1967. I have an original recording done in Sept. 1966 at the time of its appearance in the top30 on reel to reel tape and the voice and the music backing used here is quite inferior to the original.
