Review by Rick Wagner

David Bowie's Serious Moonlight Rehearsal 1983 album is a must-have for any die-hard fan of the legendary musician. The album features live recordings of some of Bowie's most famous hits, including "Let's Dance," "China Girl," and "Heroes," all performed during his Serious Moonlight Tour.

The album captures the raw energy and charisma of Bowie's live performances, showcasing his incredible vocal range and dynamic stage presence. The backing band is also in top form, delivering tight and powerful performances that perfectly complement Bowie's vocals.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the extended version of "Station to Station," which clocks in at over 11 minutes and features blistering guitar solos and a hypnotic groove that's impossible not to dance along to. Another highlight is the haunting rendition of "Space Oddity," which showcases Bowie's ability to convey deep emotion through his music.

Srv doesn't play the fashion solo. It's Carlos Alomar soloing. Stevie Ray Is playing rhythm guitar, and it's awesome anyway

Stevie had quit by the time the Serious Moonlight Tour came to my city. Me and my friends were so disappointed he wasn’t there. Earl Slick was doing a great job but listening to this makes me realize how spectacular it would have been to have seen them together. There were some very fortunate fans in Europe who got have that experience but, alas we Canadians were out of luck.

The Blu-Ray of Serious Moonlight is my favorite concert ever. SRV is the only thing that could’ve made it better. (You can tell Slick just learned the guitar parts as best he was able.) Awesome.
