Review by ahmad sopian

Das HansenQuartett's album "Ich Hab Dich So Lieb" is a beautiful collection of love songs that will surely warm the hearts of its listeners. The quartet's harmonies are tight and precise, and their arrangements are both innovative and respectful of the songs' origins.

The album features a mix of classic German love songs, as well as a few lesser-known tracks that the quartet has given new life to. The standout track is "Ich Hab Dich So Lieb," which is both the title track and the quartet's rendition of a popular children's song. The quartet's version is sweet and playful, and it's sure to put a smile on anyone's face.

Another highlight of the album is "Schön Ist Es Auf Der Welt Zu Sein," a song made famous by German singer Roy Black. The quartet's arrangement is stripped-down and simple, allowing the beauty of the melody and the lyrics to shine through.

About Das HansenQuartett

Das Hansen-Quartett emerged from , it was founded in 1950 in Cologne and was the best known and most booked German music ensemble in the 1950s. The founding members were the double bass player and leader (later known as the soloist under the stage name ), the guitarist and the two sisters Ursula and Ingetraud Maschke (later:) who performed as Geschwister Olden. Due to the many fancy names created by record companies, it is no longer possible to clarify exactly how many recordings the Hansen Quartet actually sang on.
