With her first husband, Robert W. Decker, she formed a band named Darla Hood and the Enchanters, which performed at Ken Murrays stage show. Hood also participated in solo singing acts at nightclubs. Her singles I Just Wanna Be Free and Quiet Village were well-received. She worked as a voice-over artist for animated films and commercials.
