American synth soul group, formed in 1986, Sacramento, CA by , after the demise of .
Their name means "new club". One of their first hits, "Jealousy" is an answer song to 's "Rumors". Other hits include their cover on ' "Lean On Me" and "Why You Treat Me So Bad". They have released five albums between 1986 - 1995.
Early members left after the debut album to become one of the most successful production and songwriting teams in the late 1980's soul - r'n'b scene.

wow it amazes me that some of these young kats still dont know where the real music came from! From the Luniz?? i got mad respect for the Luniz, im from the Bay born and raised, but come on now, everyone knows all the good hip hop/r&b is sampled from the old school. Love this jam from the mid 90s, MY time, junior high. This was when hip hop/r&b vids didnt have to have a Bentley or money raining all over the video to make it good

Man, I wish we supported this type of music and this group instead of bad boy, Missy, the boy and girl bands at the time. This is some real funky funky music here.
