Review by Rui Costa

Arctic Oscillations is an experimental album by Chuck Bettis that showcases his unique approach to music. The album is a blend of electronic, ambient, and noise music that creates a soundscape that is both intriguing and challenging.

Bettis uses a variety of instruments and techniques to create his music, including synthesizers, field recordings, and processed vocals. The result is a collection of tracks that are both atmospheric and unsettling.

The album opens with the track "Antarctic Oscillations," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its haunting and otherworldly sound. From there, Bettis takes the listener on a journey through a series of tracks that explore different sonic textures and moods.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Polar Vortex," which features a pulsating beat and distorted vocals that build to a frenzied climax. Another notable track is "Thaw," which uses field recordings of melting ice to create a sense of environmental urgency.
