My new favorite. Posted a myriad of great songstress. Nancy Wilson, Donna Summer, Lady Gaga, Rickie Lee Jones. Chris Connor right up there.
fabulous. the best version ever.
Nice flute?
A favorite since the '60's, song and chanteuse. Billy Strayhorn's zenith composition.
Is that Joe Mooney on according? —A fine and mellow side.
Chris Connor, Anita O'Day, Rosemary Clooney and June Christy; —all have a natural instrument that sends me.
If it wasn't for June and Chris, I'd have NO Kenton sides in my collection. Kenton had an overblown ego. Plus, he only hired white musicians. Ugh.

Thanks for posting this. It's great to have this version on youtube. She's another one who sings "distant gay traces" instead of "distingué traces" :)
Dianna Washington's version is endelled in my mind.
A wonderful rendition that I have loved through the years. Note the rising clarinet behind the line "The key's in the mailbox…"
❤❤❤❤❤
Goosebumps!!!
This is one of the most unforgettable standard numbers for me. And this lyrics is also remarkably emotional. When Chris Connor sang "The key in the mail box, same as before~
Best ever she is so underrated
