Review by Shawn Moran

The album Bell Solo From The Magic Flute Zauberflöte Selections Take 1 by Charles Daab is a beautiful collection of classical music. The album features a selection of pieces from the famous opera The Magic Flute, performed by the talented Charles Daab on the bell solo.

The album starts with the iconic overture, which sets the tone for the rest of the pieces. Daab's performance is impeccable, and he manages to capture the essence of the music perfectly. The album also features some of the opera's most recognizable arias, such as "Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja" and "Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schön," both of which are performed flawlessly.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Papageno-Papagena Duet," which is a charming and playful duet that showcases Daab's skill on the bell solo. The piece is full of energy and humor, and it's impossible not to smile while listening to it.

This recording is significant to me.
When I was only 5 years old, my father had this recording on an Edison cylinder.
He taught me to appreciate classical music by playing his Edison cylinders and Victor discs for me. Unfortunately, I broke this particular cylinder and he has reminded me of that event for over 40 years.
I have bought him many versions of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" in both cassette tape and CD for him to listen too. He has enjoyed each recording.
But when I located your playing of the original "Bell Solo from the Magic Flute" by Charles Daab on an original Edison cylinder and played on an Edison Amberola 50, at 86 years old he is finally happy and I am exonerated for my childhood mistake.
When I acquire my own Edison phonograph and this cylinder recording, then I will be happy.
Thank you so much for this video.
Mark.
