Built To Spill - Center Of The Universe

Review by Dave Earley

Built to Spill's "Center of the Universe" album is a must-have for fans of alternative rock. The album features the band's signature sound, with catchy guitar riffs and introspective lyrics. The album's title track, "Center of the Universe," is a standout, with its driving beat and memorable chorus. Other notable tracks include "Carry the Zero" and "Sidewalk."

One of the strengths of the album is the way the songs flow together, creating a cohesive listening experience. Each track builds on the last, leading to a satisfying conclusion with the final song, "Broken Chairs." The album's production is top-notch, with a clean sound that allows the instruments and vocals to shine.

I listened to this song on four tabs of LSD, and the harmonies in the background of the second verse made me see burning wheels of runic text spinning on the walls. Suffice to say this song still makes me feel a little funny
