Bobby Freeman - Bobby Freeman

Review by Joel McCoy

Bobby Freeman's self-titled album is a classic example of early rock and roll music. Released in 1959, the album features 12 tracks that showcase Freeman's raw and soulful vocals, backed by a tight and energetic band.

The album's lead single, "Do You Want to Dance," is a standout track that has become a classic of the genre. It's a high-energy tune that's impossible not to dance along with, and Freeman's vocals are perfectly suited to the song's infectious rhythm.

Other highlights of the album include "Betty Lou Got a New Pair of Shoes," a rollicking tune with an irresistible hook, and "Need Your Love," a slower, more soulful ballad that showcases Freeman's range as a vocalist.
