Review by Niek Abbes

Bobby Crush's album Hangin Out is a delightful collection of jazz-infused piano pieces that showcase his virtuosic talent and musical creativity. From the opening track "Hangin Out" to the closing number "Maple Leaf Rag", Crush's playing is consistently engaging, energetic, and expressive.

The album features a mix of original compositions and covers of classic jazz standards, all played with a sense of joy and enthusiasm that is infectious. Crush's arrangements are inventive and playful, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the listener on their toes.

One standout track is "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square", which features Crush's delicate touch and lyrical phrasing. Another highlight is "Stompin' at the Savoy", where he shows off his impressive technical chops with lightning-fast runs and intricate rhythms.
