Live from Austin City Limits by Bob Wills' Original Texas Playboys is a fantastic album that showcases the band's signature Western swing sound. The album was recorded in 1975 during a performance on the popular television show Austin City Limits, and captures the energy and excitement of the band's live show.
From the opening track, "Take Me Back to Tulsa," to the closing number, "San Antonio Rose," the album is filled with lively fiddle tunes, swinging rhythms, and catchy vocals. The band's musicianship is top-notch, with each member contributing to the overall sound and feel of the music.
One of the standout moments on the album is the instrumental "Faded Love," which features some incredible fiddle playing by Johnny Gimble. The band's rendition of "Milk Cow Blues" is also a highlight, with Wills' vocals and the band's backing harmonies creating a fun and infectious groove.
