Literally one of the most funky funk albums you'll ever hear. She wrote and composed practically the entire album. This is one BAD woman. She didn't take no shit. All these dudes talking about getting women, so she sets a double standard and does the same thing. That's powerful, man!
Miles Davis wife..he knows it
"in" SANE musical MASTERY~!!!!!! Famous after death MOJO...Better late than never. You did it...you reached us. You made the mark, Betty. FORWARD!
There's a bunch of new/remixed stuff I'd never heard before. All great, but not on the original release. It'd be a good thing if those credits were called out here; the folks involved would certainly appreciate that.
Have never heard about her until I saw artists who died in 2022. Damn..she was good. Heavy dirty funk... and real raunchy gal she was. R.i.p.
When you live something this is music y'all ain't knowing real talk we were in another zone!!
And, of course, she was married to Miles Davis for a time. Maybe ultimately not that pleasant for her. But, still they made a sexy couple.
do me in do me in
Betty Davis had a big influence on the growth of music. She's the one that introduced funk to Miles Davis and you can also hear the impact she had on female rappers.
The Grand Funk Diva!!!

RIP
So hot, raunchy, and sexy! May she rest in peace.
RIP Miss Davis! Betty wrote, arraigned and produced her own music. She started as a model and later survived a marriage to Miles Davis.
Was für eine Offenbarung. Funk-Rock at it's best.
R.I.P. Betty!
