Thank you WOXY. You turned me on to so many artist.
Saw these guys a lot back in the late 80's. Just rediscovered them again. So great!
I saw at First Avenue in Minneapolis, around '87. Great show. IIRC, House Of Freaks opened for them.
Great song.
sounds like Blondie Heart of Glass
“Old-school” Cincinnati. LoVe it!
This is horrible compared to the original.
I saw this done by the ACTUAL band, called The Raisins, in a little bar on the beach in Pensacola, FL in 1982, I think, and bought the record (vinyl) from Bob Nyswonger at the show.
Maybe 30 people there, but it was one of the best live shows I have ever seen, before or since.
I still have the album to this day.
Funny thing is, this isn't even one of the good songs on it.

Sounds really slow and tired compared to the original.
Not nearly as good as the original when they were “The Rasins”. Ironic since Adrian Belew is incredible on his own.
I want to hear sucker punch the flip side
great song, epic solo!
In 1998, I moved from Iowa City, IA to the north side of Chicago for a job. And all the way driving that U-Haul van, plus a trailer with my car, this song was repeating in my mind. It was my mental preparation for the culture shook I was about to endure. Twenty-one years, I can still feel it. Well, yeah, it's never been boring!
One hell of a guitar solo by Rob Fetters.
I had a copy of this song, that I taped off the radio (remember doing that?? ) and I couldn't for the life of me remember who sang it. Now that I know who it's from (TWO bands!) imma go buy it! Thank you for posting this!
