The Sound of Piazzola is an exceptional album featuring some of the most prominent classical musicians of our time. Alison Balsom, Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer, Emmanuel Pahud, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Daniel Barenboim have come together to pay homage to the great Argentine composer and bandoneon player, Astor Piazzolla.
The album is a beautiful fusion of classical and tango music, showcasing the unique sound and style of Piazzolla. The musicians' virtuosity and passion are evident in every track, and the arrangements are masterfully done. The album includes some of Piazzolla's most famous pieces, such as Libertango, Oblivion, and Adios Nonino, as well as lesser-known gems like Milonga del Angel and La Muerte del Angel.
