About Archie Campbell
Archie Campbell was an American comedian, writer, actor and singer. Born November 7, 1914 Bulls Gap, TN Died August 29, 1987, Knoxville, TN. He was one of the stars and the head writer of Hee Haw, a country-flavored network television variety show. The short comedic Pfft! You Was Gone was a song he sang nearly every show and often more than once.
His musical hits included "The Men in My Little Girl's Life" in 1966 which hit #6 on the U.S. country charts. "Trouble in the Amen Corner" hit #24 on the same chart in 1965 and "The Cockfight" hit #44 in 1967. "Tell It Like It Is
