Nous sommes loin des annees Bossa Nova d'Antonio Carlos Jobim. 1980, Antonio Carlos Jobim sort Terra Brasilis, un double album dont l'originalite est de mixer avec de nouveaux arrangements des anciens titres ("One Note Samba", "Dindi", "Off-Key (Desafinado)" en lien, "The Girl from Ipanema"...) et des compositions originales. La reussite de cet album est cette juxtaposition plutot coherente qui fait que l'amalgame a toutes les facilites a prendre. Il est a noter que la majorite des chansons est interpretee en anglais et que, pour une fois, je dois reconnaitre que la voix grave et profonde d'Antonio Carlos Jobim reussie a m'emouvoir (le poids positif des annees?). Autre grande satisfaction, la relative sobriete des arrangements et la possibilite qu'il nous est donnee d'apprecier le jeu pianistique caracteristique d'Antonio Carlos Jobim. Claus Ogerman, son arrangeur, est plus dans la retenue et ce n'est pas plus mal. Terra Brasilis, sans revolutionner l'oeuvre d'Antonio Carlos Jobim, est un album assez reussi malgre un petit cote rechauffe, mais ne boudons pas notre plaisir
I cannot end the thirst of surprises from Antonio Carlos Jobim since i was 18 years old ! Every time i find some new from him either musical , lyrics ,,it is like finding another fountain of new sounds , it s just , we don't want lo leave that feeling , that sound , taht age of love , romance , nature , and yes we then were another type of humans , the ones i call it privilegie, love and nature , music and great stars were abound on any genre , or places , Jobim with Maria Creusa and Toquinho ,, Vinicius ,Joao Gilberto, Gal Costa ,Miucha, and the list is such of wealth of history of music , when Jazz had to have ,Bossa or Samba infusion , like Coffee Mocha, and Bacardi , at summer wee hours of past uncontrol able dancing on the streets of Rio with a Group of Drummers called ,"Batucada " , such of sensation of happiness and endless ritm of soul ,unique Brazilian , and yes of course when it rains , is like everything reopens the fragrances of forest flowers , washes de dust of the streets ,and invites again to walk the same Beach of Ipanema as it was in 1963 , understanding that the girl yes it was there , but this time watching us , with the same love , sounds and people ,of all walks of life along the coast to Copacabana, Happy 2022 ,may be blessed to all !
