Anjani was my pal at middle school in Honolulu in another time. She was already a rich and colorful character at 14, I am so glad that trajectory continued unbroken to this epiphany of an album.

I've been a Leonard fan my whole life. How did I not know of Anjani and this album before? I understand why he wrote for her. That voice fits his musical universe like a satin glove. Beauty breaks your heart more thoroughly than tragedy ever could.
