Andrea Centazzo - Indian Tapes

Andrea Centazzo's latest album, Indian Tapes, is a mesmerizing journey through the sounds and rhythms of India. The album features a blend of traditional Indian instruments such as the tabla, sitar, and sarod, combined with Centazzo's signature percussion and electronic elements.
From the opening track, "Varanasi," the listener is transported to the banks of the Ganges River, with the hypnotic rhythms of the tabla and the haunting melody of the sitar. The album continues with tracks such as "Raga Jog" and "Raga Bhairavi," showcasing Centazzo's ability to seamlessly blend traditional Indian music with contemporary elements.
The album's standout track, "Raga Bhimpalasi," features a stunning performance by sarod player Alam Khan, son of the legendary Ali Akbar Khan. The track builds to a climactic crescendo, with Khan's virtuosic playing perfectly complemented by Centazzo's intricate percussion.
